Brookhaven Christian Retreat is host to 14 weeks of summer camps for children which provides leadership development programs; and weekend retreats and conferences for churches throughout the year. Countless individuals have made their profession of faith in The Lord Jesus Christ and have gone on to Christian Maturity by participating in The Retreat’s leadership development programs.
Brookhaven Christian Retreat is now run by Christian Mission Connection a Non-profit organization established in 1997 and will be doing business as Brookhaven Christian Retreat and Brookhaven Retreat. While continuing in the same offering that has been historical to the retreat we will also bring some new and exciting opportunities as God guides and blesses us to do so.
Our Summer Camps are the heart of our retreat we host churches from all over the United States Brookhaven exists to provide a place for Christian Organizations to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to worship in God’s creation, grow spiritually, and experience rejuvenation. It is the desire of The Retreat Staff that all participants experience a time together in an atmosphere where God’s Spirit will manifest in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control.
Building bridges of support we are a Cross-Denomination facility, meaning that as followers of Jesus Christ he gave us a new commandment to “love one another as he has loved us”, so all churches that profess Jesus Christ as the Son of God are known as Christians. The label of a denomination does not define us at Brookhaven Christian Retreat Center for we are all ONE in Christ.
Brookhaven is a retreat property, conference center, and summer Camp all in one. We provide space to a number of different Christian organizations and other groups that are interested in getting away to a place that will bring peace to their life and a moment to commune with God and interact with others. Access to your phones and multi-media, TV, internet and the like have inconsistent availability on our campus so you literally at times are able to be alone with your thoughts and able to be quiet in the presence of God. This is truly a place where one can find God’s peace (Shalom).
We are conveniently located in East Texas just North of Tyler, approximately 100 miles from Dallas, Texas and the same distance from Shreveport, Louisiana, North of I-20 off of Texas Highway 14. In the rolling hills, in the trees over looking Brooks Lake, a 71 acre spring fed lake, on our property we are provided with some of the best water in the country from deep wells, just a 1/2 a mile from where Ozarka Water fills their bottles.
