What's Day Camp?

Day Camp is a place where young children, typically around the ages of 5 to 8 years old, can---through the guidance and supervision of group leaders---play and socialize with other children, learn new skills, enhance preparation for school and develop in other ways through the particular curriculum offered by the day camp program.

Brookhaven Retreat's SuperHeroes in Training Day Camp (SITDC) does all of these things and offers training in important values like honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, etc. What's more, SITDC takes place in a safe environment that is designed to facilitate children's programs and encourage creativity in the outdoors.

SITDC is staffed by ten college-aged men and women with training in CPR, first-aid, lifeguarding and other specialized areas. Each employee of Brookhaven Retreat who has any opportunity to interact with children has had a thorough background check and training in abuse prevention and appropriate behavior in working with kids.
