What...How...Where...?

Q: How do I register for SuperHeroes in Training Day Camp (SITDC)?
A:
Click here to fill out the forms and choose a payment method.

Q: How much does SITDC cost?
A:
When you register by July 17, the cost is only $99. After July 17, the cost is $109. We also offer an extended session option for those kids who stay after 3:45 p.m., when the typical program concludes. Extended session includes another snack and activity and ends promptly at 5:00 p.m. The additional cost for extended session is $20 per camper, per day. Please let us know at check-in each day if your child will be staying until 5:00 p.m.

Q: What does my child need to bring?
A:
All your child needs to bring is a ready-to-have-fun-and-learn attitude, along with a bathing suit for Tuesday's water activities.

Q: My child doesn't swim. What will they do during the pool activities?
A:
Each child who wants to use the 3-foot pool area during water activities will be required to pass a basic swim test. If your child does not pass the test or chooses not to participate in the pool activities, other water activities will be available, which will not require the child to be in a pool more than knee deep. Lifeguards will be on hand to supervise all pool activities.

Q: What if my child needs medical attention while at day camp?
A:
Brookhaven will supply a registered nurse who will be on site during day camp. Also, there is a clinic just two miles from camp.

Q: Who will supervise my child?
A:
Brookhaven is staffed year-round by eight full-time staff members, and we add another ten full-time staff members in the summer for youth camps and day camps. These ten staff members, who are college-aged men and women with training in CPR, first-aid, lifeguarding and other specialized areas, will be the primary supervisors. Another year-round staff member with a college degree and significant camp experience will supervise and take part in the program. Also, guest instructors with education credentials will likely teach some sessions. All Brookhaven staff who may have opportunity to interact with kids are required to pass an extensive background check and undergo certified training regarding proper conduct around kids prior to any contact with children on site.

Q: What are Brookhaven's affiliations?
A:
Brookhaven is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that is not owned or operated by any other organization, outside the governance of our board of directors. While we have no religious denominational affiliation, our staff do adhere to an Evangelical Christian statement of faith. Brookhaven undergoes rigorous inspections by the State of Texas and other certifying organizations, and we've been a member of Christian Camp and Conference Association since our founding in 1974.

Q: How do I get to Brookhaven?
A:
Brookhaven's entrance is located at the intersection of Hwy 2869 and County Road 3909. From Hwy 14 North out of Hawkins, turn east on Hwy 2869 and go 1.5 miles until you get to County Road 3909 (you'll see our green and white sign). Then turn left. The County Road dead-ends at Brookhaven. Here's a map:
