HOW TO PARTNER WITH
BROOKHAVEN RETREAT TO SEND ABUSED AND AT-RISK KIDS
TO CAMP

I'd like to share with you how you and/or
your organization can help meet a very real need
in the lives of kids and make 2008 a better year
for them. Each year, Brookhaven Retreat hosts
hundreds of at-risk kids at camp. These are
typically kids from impoverished homes---kids from
areas where drugs and violence are a part of
everyday life. The vast majority of these kids
come for Royal Family Kids Camps, a national
program that provides a positive, memorable camp
experience for kids that have been reported as
abused---physically attacked, emotionally damaged,
sexually molested, or severely neglected, often by
the people they have loved and trusted most.
Brookhaven hosts more Royal Family kids than any
other camp in the nation. By doing so, we help
provide an amazing experience for kids like Abby:
11-year-old Abby received her photo album on the
last day of camp. Her expression was one of "This
can't be true" and then one of absolute delight as
she exclaimed, "There are photos of me! I
don't have any photos of me!" She went on
to tell her counselor that her older sister had a
photo of herself, but no one had any of her. She
had been in and out of foster care all her life,
and somehow nobody ever thought to take photos of
happy memories of childhood. Maybe until this camp
there had been no happy memories---now she has a
book full of great memories!
So, how can you give kids like Abby an incredible
camp experience? Read on.
Brookhaven's Direct Scholarship Program
Donate $189 for each child you, your church, or
other group wants to sponsor, and the entire
amount goes to provide a top-notch camp experience
for at-risk kids who otherwise could not afford
camp. You'll get a letter, if possible from the child(ren) you sponsored, describing what your
gift means, and the donation is tax-deductible.
Click here for details and a donation form
or simply click the
button below to contribute via Paypal, MasterCard,
Visa, American Express, or Discover.
Tax-deductible receipts are available upon
request, and you'll also have a giving record on
your bank, Paypal, or credit card statement.

This year, consider how you can give a gift
that will help make 2008 a much brighter year for
a child in need. We're certain it will brighten
the spirit around your house as well.
Blessings to you in 2008,
